Course Overview: This technical training course is designed to provide mechanics and technicians with the in-depth knowledge of the Sewer Equipment Company 800 ECO Truck Jetter. This course combines classroom instruction with practical discussion to equip participants with the skills necessary to safely operate, maintain, diagnose, and repair the 800 ECO machine. A clean 800 ECO truck will be supplied by the host for the training.

Emphasis is placed on system functionality, troubleshooting methodology, safety practices, and real-world service scenarios to support effective equipment uptime and performance.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the fundamentals of sewer systems and their components.
• Discuss the basics of sewer jetting equipment and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sewer cleaning equipment.
• Comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Course Content Outline

Module 1: 800 ECO Jetting Machine Overview

• Intro to the 800 ECO model jetter truck (the 800 ECO Series III and Series IV will be covered.
• Distinction of the triplex and single piston type water pumps.

Module 2: 800 ECO Component Identification & Location

• Information on the component locations on the 800 ECO jetter as they pertain to the spot on the module.
• Specifics on the location and appearance of the components.

Module 3: 800 ECO water system operations & service

• Functionality of each component on the water system design.
• Troubleshooting issues in the water system.
• Determine the cause of the issue in the water system.
• Determine the possible cures for these issues.
• Water pump issues and repairs.

Module 4: 800 ECO Hydraulic System Operations & Service

• Functionality of each component on the hydraulic system design
• Troubleshooting issues in the hydraulic system
• Determine the cause of the issue in the hydraulic system
• Determine the possible cures for these issues
• Hydrostatic pump issues and repairs

Module 5: 800 ECO Electrical System Operations & Service

• Functionality of each component on the electrical system
• Troubleshooting issues in the electrical system.
• Determine the cause of the issue in the electrical system
• Determine the possible cures for these issues

Training Materials

• 800 ECO training manual(s) and reference material 

(Provided to participants and retained for future field reference) 

Required PPE

• Safety glasses
• Safety footwear as required by the host location
• (If host shop requires additional PPE worn during the training class, the host will notify Hatfield Edge prior to training)
