Hatfield Edge, LLC was founded in 2025 to support customers and dealers by providing high-quality, professional technical training for mechanics, technicians, and shop management personnel. Our primary focus is on the accurate diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of Sewer Equipment Company of America’s (SECA) product lineup.
Hatfield Edge is owned and operated by Jerry Hatfield, an industry professional with more than 14 years of experience at Sewer Equipment Company of America. In 2013, Jerry developed SECA’s first factory-trained mechanic school in response to the release of new equipment models that experienced early “growing pains.” His mission was to ensure technicians were properly trained to service SECA equipment, improve repair accuracy, and reduce warranty-related costs.
The success of this initiative led Jerry to design and manage a full-scale training department, where he served as the “Dean” of Sewer Equipment University. In this role, he created comprehensive training programs for nearly all SECA models, guiding technicians toward faster, more accurate diagnostics and repairs while significantly reducing equipment downtime. Jerry also developed sales training and internal training modules to further support organizational success.
After retiring from Sewer Equipment Company of America in 2025, Jerry founded Hatfield Edge to continue delivering this specialized technical training. Hatfield Edge provides onsite training solutions for technicians and shop personnel, particularly for organizations unable to send staff to Sewer Equipment University. By conducting training in a familiar environment, we help maximize learning effectiveness while minimizing operational disruption.
